Ekopak (EKOP:xbru), an ESG-driven company specializing in decentralized, circular water solutions, will provide the water treatment installation for the new plant of NX Filtration (AMS: NXFIL), the global provider of pioneering direct nanofiltration (dNF) membrane technology for pure water.
In 2021, NX Filtration announced the construction of their new plant in Hengelo, the Netherlands. This new plant will support the company’s expansion and significantly increase production capacity. NX Filtration’s innovative membrane technology makes it possible to purify water from a wide range of micro-pollutants in one step, with large savings on energy and chemicals. The company can eventually produce more than 120,000 membrane modules annually in their new building.
To maximize the sustainability of the production process, NX Filtration has chosen to use circular water via a water treatment installation from Ekopak. The installation, which will contain NX Filtration’s own membrane modules, will upgrade river and surface water to process water.
This new partnership is an important step in realizing Ekopak’s long-term ambitions in the non-WaaS segment, with impact in 2023.

NX Filtration’s new plant should be operational in the first half of 2024.
