Successful completion of installation

For the power plant of Engie Rodenhuize (Ghent), we have successfully installed a WaaS (Water-as-a-Service) installation.

The original demineralization plant was at the end of its service life, moreover, the water consumption had changed due to a switch from biomass to blast furnace gas.The WaaS model from Ekopak allowed Engie to resolve their issues in a rapid time period, without having to make a substantial investment themselves.

Installation at Vynova, Tessenderlo

Since the official opening by Minister Demir in November 2023, our installation at Vynova in Tessenderlo is running at full speed.

This new, state-of-the-art water plant will provide the chemical company with demineralized water. Demin water is essential for the production processes, that require water of the highest quality. The new plant, an investment of 8 million euros, will no longer consume groundwater. Through this installation based on membrane technology, we can reduce Vynova’s ecological footprint and contribute to the realization of the company’s sustainability goals.

Synergy with H2O Production

The project above at Engie resulted in a great collaboration with H2O Production, which has been part of the Ekopak group since 2022. Their technologies for the production of demin water and their expertise in regenerating resins has proven to be a strong advantage for Ekopak. H2O Production’s mixed-bed ion exchangers are used for polishing the demineralized water at Engie.
