WWTP for leading sugar producer, Mexico
Ingenio San Nicolas, a Mexican sugar producer active across the full sugarcane value chain, is investing in sustainable water management.
Through ICAYS (a local partner), we will deliver a complete wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) consisting of an anaerobic reactor and aerobic treatment, together with a sludge dewatering system. The project also features biogas handling with an elevated flare, ensuring safe and controlled combustion.
CCRO system in final stage of production
At our production facility in Deinze, a CCRO (Closed Circuit Reverse Osmosis) unit is being finalized for shipment to our client Heineken.
CCRO is an advanced membrane filtration technology designed to achieve high water recovery in a controlled and efficient process. Operating in a closed loop, the system maximizes the amount of purified water recovered.
Water-as-a-Service for Aviko
Ekopak has secured a new 10-year WaaS® contract with an industrial player active in Belgium. For Aviko, a producer of potato-based products, Ekopak will provide a Water-as-a-Service installation for its site in Proven. The solution includes a UF-RO (Ultrafiltration-Reserve Osmosis) system that ensures water of drinking water quality for use in the production processes. Ekopak will manage the full installation and its maintenance.
Opening Ceremony at AB InBev Samlesbury, England
Last month, we attended the AB InBev’s “Cheers to Nature” event at the Samlesbury brewery in England. During this high-profile gathering with local politicians and media, the brewery officially unveiled its new state-of-the-art wastewater treatment installation, delivered by our subsidiary, Global Water & Energy.
This futureproof installation highlights AB InBev’s strong commitment to sustainable brewing and responsible water management. 🌊

Can you recognize saturated resins?
Resins are small plastic beads used in water treatment, for example in ion exchange systems. They remove certain substances from the water. After a production run, resins can become saturated and must be regenerated to restore their performance. In case of contamination, a specific treatment is required. These photos below, taken at the customer’s site, clearly illustrate the difference!
