As 2025 comes to an end, we look back on a year that brought us many challenges, but also meaningful achievements. Below, we’ve summarized some of our key highlights:
Projects around the world
In Belgium, we successfully launched the Water-as-a-Service (WaaS®) installation at ArcelorMittal Ghent, delivering 800,000 m³ of high-quality process water per year. Agristo also firmly committed to circular water solutions, both for its site in Wielsbeke, Belgium, and for its production facility in India.
Internationally, we further expanded our impact. In France, we supplied a new battery factory in Douai (Ampère ElectriCity) with sustainable water. For a leading brewery in Dubai, we were selected to design and build their water and wastewater treatment facility. In the United States, we implemented our Raptor® technology at Nexus W2V’s Kingsbury Bioenergy facility, while in Latin America we supported PepsiCo with their first biodigester.

“Pee Water” for the movie 2025
For the promotional campaign of the Belgian documentary 2025, by TV producer Eric Goens, we created “Pee Water”, drinking water recycled from urine. A few days before the premiere, teasers were released featuring numerous celebrities and influencers tasting the Pee Water. During the premiere in Antwerp, the “Pee Water” was distributed so everyone could experience the taste firsthand.
2050 tells the story of modern climate scientists at the Princess Elisabeth research station in Antarctica and explains how, according to climate scientists, the year 2050 will become a tipping point in the history of our planet.

Goodbye Tielt, hello Deinze
In 2025, our new headquarters in Deinze officially opened its doors. This new building plays a significant role in Ekopak’s growth and underscores our sustainable vision. With a larger workshop and modern facilities, we can work more efficiently and support our customers even better.
At the new headquarters, we now bring all our services together under one roof. We celebrated the opening with a family day, giving everyone the opportunity to discover the new workplace in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Integrated annual report
In April, we published our fourth annual report. This report provides a comprehensive overview of the well-considered and strategic course Ekopak is pursuing, driven by sustainability, innovation, and long-term impact.
Quality and safety
Ekopak successfully renewed its VCA-P certificate, which is valid for the next three years. This certificate, the most stringent within the VCA standards, confirms that we meet the highest requirements in the areas of safety, health, and environmental protection, specifically for activities in the petrochemical industry.
Additionally, we are proud to announce that Ekopak Belgium, with headquarters in Deinze, has obtained ISO 9001:2015 incl. A1-2024 (No. BQA_QMS_C_20221077) certification for the first time.
Our subsidiary, H₂O Production, once again achieved the following certifications:
- ISO 9001:2015, Afnor N° 2002/19149.5
- Industrial Plastic Granulate (IPG)
Changes within the management team
In September, we welcomed Jean-Baptiste De Cuyper as the new CEO of the Ekopak Group. With more than 20 years of international experience in the water, energy, and infrastructure sectors, he brings valuable knowledge and fresh insights.
Since then, Pieter Loose has taken on the role of Chief Strategy & Growth Officer (CSGO) at Ekopak, focusing on shaping and realizing the organization’s long-term growth and strategic ambitions. In addition, Geert Bossuyt was appointed as the new CFO in May 2025.
With the strengthening of our governance and management structure, we are ready for the future!

E-Team in action
Sports, well-being, and teamwork were once again central at Ekopak this year. On World Bicycle Day, our colleagues chose to cycle instead of driving their cars. During the Deinze Industry Team Trophy, they once again gave it their all on the sports field.
We renewed our Sports Label from Sport Vlaanderen, reaffirming our commitment to a healthy and active corporate culture.
In September, the Ekopak Safety Days focused on safety and well-being, featuring practical exercises, AED training, and ergonomics sessions.

We are proud of the work we have accomplished, of our team, and of their dedication. With these experiences in mind, we look ahead to 2026 with confidence!
We wish all our customers, partners, and employees a year full of inspiration, success, and wonderful moments!
